will this motherboard work with a sound card and my 1070?

Solution
The first card is using PCI-E x1 where as the second card is using legacy PCI.

If you haven't bought the sound card yet this board offers onboard optical

Edit: Ok maybe that board doesn't have onboard optical in all regions, might want to double check if it does, here in Australia it comes with optical but a quick google search shows boards without the optical connector.

no i havent bought the sound card but which of the 2 asus sound cards will fit this motherboard just in case i decide to get this motherboard or will the motherboard take either with my gtx 1070 taking a slot

You can use either sound card, the PCI-E card can go in the top slot above the graphics card or the PCI card can go in 1 of PCI slots at the bottom of the board.
Personally I'd go for the PCI-E base card so it can go above the graphics card.

do you think it will have enough clearance above my card?

also just 1 more question. a lot of people saying there is ram compatibility issues with the ryzen 5 with certain ram do you know if these 2 have any issues with bugs with it?

Which ever card you end up getting there will be enough clearance for the graphics card.

There were issues with ram incompatibilities on AM4 with early bios versions.
I can't see either of them ram kits specifically on the official support list for that board, the 16GB kit is on the list for Corsair though.
Either kit should be fine, though you might want to find a kit that is on the official support list just to be safe.

There are a lot to choose from so you should be able to find something in your price range.
