Hello friends here is my current config which I am selling for 40000 INR
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-F2A55MHD2 - Rev 1.0
Processor : AMD A10-6800k
RAM : 8Gb Kingston Value Ram DDR3 @ 1600 mhz (2sticks 4gb each dual channel)
CPU Cooler : CM Hyper 212X with 2 fans
PSU : Cooler Master 500 watts
GPU : ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB
HDD : WD 2TB 5400 RPM
Sound Card : SB Audigy 7.1 PCI
Case : NZXT Source 530 with 3 case fans and blue led lightning

Now heres my confusion. Off lately I have observed that many games have started just giving me 30 FPS or low at high settings so I plan to build a tight budget rig with the below mentioned specs and have a good 1080p gameplay experience also I may upgrade to a i5 or i7 in the future but as of today I just have to use the cash I get out of my old rig and build a new one. Also with the new rig I will be compromising on a lot of things like I will downgrade to a basic case from the source 530 and will have to use the stock cpu cooler so just want to know if it is worth it.

New RIG Specs

PSU : Circle APFC 500 Watts PSU (SMPS) for Gaming cabinet and Server - Rs 2424
HDD : Toshiba Desktop 2TB 7200RPM - Rs 5325
CASE : Circle Gaming Cabinet CC 821 without SMPS (with 3 LED FAN) - Rs 3245
CPU : Intel Core i3-6100 6th Gen LGA 1151 Processor - Rs 9245
RAM : Kingston Technology HyperX FURY Black 8 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 - Rs 2788
MOBO: MSI H110M PRO - Rs 4800
GPU : USED ASUS STRIX GTX 660 4GB 2 years warranty left - Rs 13500

So my main question remains shall i do this upgrade or save some money and replace the gtx 660 with gtx 960 and I should be ok. Awaiting your response

Solution
The skylake i3 is notably better then the A10 but not by such a large margin that you are going to see much fps jump in games.

Not to say the upgrade is not a bad idea.
You are currently in the FM2 hole and if you get a 760 or 960 GPU then your APU will bottleneck it.
The proposed build does not give you much improvement, but it gives you an actual upgrade path that is not nearly as limited.
Now if you could get even a GTX-950 then you would see some noticeable gains, even better if you could get an i5.

Oh and I would avoid that Circle brand PSU, the validity of their 80+ rating is sketchy at best. Try to get Seasonic, XFX, EVGA.
I have the same GPU as you, and honestly I would just upgrade to another GPU. Doesn't make sense to buy a whole new rig if you're just looking for higher FPS. Maybe add some more ram, if you want. I would also personally upgrade your PSU to either a 600 WATT or a 800 WATT

Well my budget is 40000 but the i3 6100 ddr4 ram and gtx 960 4gb should perform better than my current setup right or its not worth it. Another thing to consider is that one year down the line I might not even get this muuch for this hardware

This will give you way better performance.
Case go for a medium sized local one will work fine.

It will but GTX960 4GB is out of your budget.

So I am not at a loss doing this right I might even add a SSD to the combo which should further improve the performance I guess
