Will this new setup for my pc work?

I have a slow-medium spec gaming pc, and I was thinking of swapping My current mother board and my processed. I am still kinda new with building computers. I was wondering what mother boards and processor would work with my set up.

My Current PC:
GeForce GTX 780
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor
16 GB Ram
Moniter-1920 x 1080, 60Hz
MotherBoard-Giga-Byte GA-78LMT-USB3

I am getting this as a gift for my self for my 18th birthday, so I need to look thorugh my options. I dont really need a really high end mother board.
