OK so after some research this is an updated version (Since im getting my pc built, Sound card, optical drive and psu come with the case

You didn't mention a PSU.
You will need an older H81 chipset CPU. also you could just buy a H97 motherboard, I recommend the ASrock H97 Anniversary.
 
I don't know why you say you don't like AMD gpu's. If you can get a better product for the same price or less why not get it? An R9 380 would be better than a gtx 960 and an r9 280x is slightly better than R9 380. So why not get an R9 380 4gb. It would be the best choice for you. Chose the product that gives the best performance. Also, AMD is more optimised (right now) for asynchronous compute, which is used extensively in DX 12. Just something to consider.
