Hi,
i'm about to upgrade my PC into something more of a gaming system. Already chose the parts which i'm gonna buy but wanted an expert opinion on whether it's gonna work fine or not. i mean are these parts all compatible ? Also i already got a tower, a monitor (benq 24'' HDMI), razer diamondback mouse and a 1000W power supply. So the following are the upgrades i'm going for :

Intel Core i7-4790K 4 core (Octo Core) CPU with 4.00 GHz, Boxed with fan processor
Inno3D GeForce GTX 970 OC 4.0 GB OC Enthusiast graphics card
MSI Z97-G55 SLI Sockel 1150 ATX motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 Kit RAM

and finally a small SSD (256GB) to run windows (8.1) which i haven't yet picked.

Would appreciate any expert tips and help before i go for it!

Cheers and happy holidays to all!

A little overkill, but at least a bit more future resistant.. and it looks like you have the money, so why not. Yeah, all those parts are compatible... and if you still have some money to spend.. I'd recommend an M.2 SSD which is faster than a SATA one.

that's why i wrote up here in the first place bro! looking for opinions like yours! i looked into it right now and it seems that yeah MSI is way better. i had alook into zotac, gigabyte and asus as well but i'm going for MSI.
cheers bro.

as for the SSD i was going definitely for a one but haven't decided which brand yet. as for the money well i haven't an unlimited fund ( i had set a 1000 euros budget which summin all this i scrape by) lol but wanted an edge pc for games like unity, far cry 4 ecc with a look for future games as well!
