Will this pc run 40-60fps on med-high settings for gaming

Lets stick to this thread ok?

The 1060 would be nice, but he's pushing past his budget already. He can get the 1050TI for less than £160.

That shaves £13 off I think. I agree with moving to a more modern system as well. I'm not sure why he's spending so much on old tech. More so when it costs more to do so. The i5-8400 is only £162.

Doesn't make sense to buy the 6600 for £250 when a newer and better CPU is cheaper. And being ~£90 cheaper should bring his build to £600 assuming he picks a similar priced board.
I would not bother getting an older intel unless you are getting it used and for a good deal. A new i3 8100 would be a better choice or even a Ryzen 2200G.

For GPU the GTX 1050 might be a better choice over the RX560 if you play games that favor Nvidia cards. Also you may want to bump up to a 1050ti of you can afford it.

One last change would be the power supply, get something like the Corsair CX450M or CX450(the one with white and black lettering not green lettering)

res and quality will have an impact too.
AAA games are the most taxing, esports games usually don't need as much.
I'd guess a 1060 at the least to be safe.
