it will work but your using a cpu that been dead for a while. the newer intel i3 are better gamers for the same price.
i3 104.00 online and msi z97 pc mate mb are 60.00 there also asrock h97 mb for 60.00. look to see if the xfx 650 power supply is close to the same price as your v550. the xfx is a rebranded seasonic unit. if you can save up a little more money for the gpu the 950 when there on sale are not much more money but are better gaming card.

nah i'm good with the amd fx 6300. besides it's for gta v only.
