-MSI Nvidia GTX 760
-AMD Athlon X4 750K CPU
-8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
-1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drive
-500W Corsair CX500 Power Supply
-Rosewill Line-M Case
i would be very thankful if you told me if this worked or not

No it will not... with that motherboard you need an intel processor for socket 1155. Or an Fm2 motherboard for that processor

thanks for the feedback but is there a cheaper alternative to the i5 will and i3 be to low for a gaming pc that i wish to be ready for the next gen games

I suggest AMD FX6300 over an Intel I3 because of its multi thread capability. It is a good basis for budget gaming rig with a board like this on a budget http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a97r20 or for high end 990FX http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20

now Asus M5A97 OR Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboards. Would ever work or am i durping out again and which will be better for gaming

The M5A97 is an AM3+ board fitting for the FX6300 and the P8Z77-V-LK is an Intel board only for Intel LGA1155CPU's so forget it.
