Hi! I've been dealing with really bad wifi, I can not connect to my internet box via ethernet since its stuck downstairs, So the best thing i can do is use this old wifi extender, And since its not meant as a router to my computer its meant to extend the wifi it sucks.. (its hooked up with ethernet) So i was looking through amazon and found this

https://www.amazon.ca/BrosTrend-1200Mbps-PCIe-WiFi-Card/dp/B07DM1FWKB/ref=cm_wl_huc_item

That would work perfect for me, I highly dislike usb wifi thingys. Tried them before and hated them. But i was wondering if it would work on my msi 970 gaming motherboard, Would i plug it into the socket just below my graphics card pcie slot? the tiny one? Thanks :)

It will work, but I don't know if it will get better signal than your current device.

You can plug it into any free PCIe socket, even the big ones.
So yes it will work in the small PCIe x 1 socket.

Try to space your cards out so as to not restrict airflow, especially around your GPU, so if you can, use the furthest socket from your GPU.

I have two pcie x1 slots and 2 pcie x16 slots and i have two pci slots. So if i get it, I can plug it in to any one of those and it will work? I will try and not plug it right below the graphics card. Probably above it.
