I didn't mean to imply that it was a bad processor. It isn't. nokiddingboss has made a good suggestion and the PSU I recommended would handle it just fine.
no need to be defensive my friend. i wasn't talking about your post. in fact i've only read it when you replied to my post. i was simply replying to the OP and saying that his choice is good enough to for next gen though he may want some extra gpu horse power. seriously, have those nasty amd fanboys recently ruffled your feathers? they're pretty intense aren't they?
I moderate on another board, and it isn't Just the AMD / Nvidia Fanboys, you have Windows/ Mac and Playstation / Xbox. If the fanboys can find something to argue about, they will. I know what they are about, so I don't let them bother me. Although I prefer & use Intel Processors, I have recommended AMD on numerous occasions when budget was of a concern. I have always like the Phenom II x4 9xx BE series as they were very capable CPUs and still are. I have also bounced back and forth between ati / AMD and Nvidia GPUs. Wasn't really being defensive, just didn't want the poster to think I was dissing the processor. I have seen way to much of that. Some of which was justifiable and the reasons were given which were solid, but in far too many cases, it was somebody injecting their own personal preferance for no reason other than it was their preferance. When they do that and I see it, I will step in and get on them.
