I have an evga 500w psu and am in the process of upgrading pretty much every part.
Ryzen 5 1600,
RX 590 (Either red devil or sapphire, dunno which will work on psu yet)
8gb ram dual channel.
2 HDDs@7200
1 SSD
I don't plan on overclocking for a good time, until i make a bit more money to buy a better PSU. For now i just want the base stuff to work.

Depends on what EVGA PSU, brand name alone doesn't mean its a good power supply, its more about model. Also save your money and get a RX580 way cheaper, the 590 is just not a good deal. Or get something like the GTX 1660 which is similar in price and performance (sometimes significant better depending on the game) to the 590 while using less power.

That power supply while not the best certainly isn't a large concern. If you went with an NVidia card you would have enough wattage headroom to over clock the CPU and possibly the GPU assuming you got a 1060 or 1660.
So I can see that now. I guess waiting another week for another paycheck will pay off with a 1660 ti then?
