Hello i have a 500 watt powersupply in my system

I5-6402p
MSI Tiger OC GTX 960 4gb
8gb XPG ddr4 ram
ALLIED 500watt psu

i was wondering if i could hook up floor speakers to my pc with a amplifier that if my PSU would be enough power to run two floor speakers. ?

Solution
The amplifier is exactly what powers the speakers, completely separate from your computer. You will only be sending computer sound out from PC to amplifier for it to play on speakers.

ALLIED PSU's are rated very bad, I don't know that it could burnout your whole system, but the PSU itself is really badly built according to Jonny Guru's review.. so I would agree with misteriosly that you should change it.

However, for that setup you don't need much more than 500watt, as a minimum it would be enough even with a few extra drives.
