[SOLVED] Will this PSU work on a 2070 SUPER

Hello, Just asking if a thermaltake smart 600W 80 plus gold can work on a 2070 Super.

Even though they recommend a 650-watt power supply, you should be fine.

Is this your exact PSU model ? If yes, then the power supply will work, but this is not a very high quality PSU. Most of the RT2 models are very low-end.

I suggest you grab some other high quality power supply for the RTX 2070 Super GPU. Don't skimp on the PSU.

I wouldn't risk it. Thermaltake SMARTs of pretty much any 80+ efficiency are not very good.

Why pair a junk $60 PSU with a $500 card?

Other PSU models posted on the web are showing WHITE certified SKUs for the Smart series, which is even worse. Are you sure yours is a Gold certified ?

Then please stay away from that TR2 model at all costs. Grab some other high quality PSU model. PSU is the MOST important PC component.

PSU is the last component you might want to cheap out on, or skimp.

Try to get some other high quality PSU, IF possible. Power supplies are an imperative part of your system that should not be taken lightly. Throwing in a budget PSU could result in poor power efficiency or even a wrecked system. Don't SKIMP on the PSU,, since this is the MOST important PC component. I can't stress this enough.

I am not using the TR2 series. I am using the smart series.

No, it uses about the same. But the 5700xt is as $100 or more cheaper and will allow you to fit a new PSU in budget.
