Hello, I have had a lot of issues while trying to upgrade ram because of my older CPU. I may have been trying ram that was too fast, so I’ve decided for 2666mhz’ve purchased 2 kits before this, but both of them just made my PC sit on a black screen. When I would swap back it would immediately fix itself. So before buying this new kit, I wanted to ask if this would be compatible with my Ryzen 5 2600, MSI X570 Tomahawk Wi-Fi? Here is the serial code and link

Oh yes! I will check the bios version that as soon as I get back to my PC.

The correct slots are A2 and B2, but I tried A1-2 B1-2 when A2 B2 didn’t work, I also tried single ram.

As for the ram links, here they are (Minus the hyperX ram as it is very old and Kingston has sold HyperX since then)

Hey there,

As at @Lutfij mentioned, the bios is prob key here. They bring bug fixes, mem compatibility, and CPU performance uplifts.

Can you work with one stick of ram? If it POST's, what BIOS version is your motherboard on at this moment of time? What ram kits have you worked with prior to the aforementioned DDR4-2666MHz ram kits? Ideally you should be on DDR4-3200MHz to get the best out of your Ryzen platform.

I have tried both of these kits in 1 slot and 2. And the 2 wrong slots as well.

The previous kits I have had were
(Not working) 16GB 3200 Corsair
(Not working) 16GB 3600 G.Skill Trident Ram
(Working) Old 8GB 2666 HyperX Ram

^ Well, with the working stick of ram, can you please get into BIOS and see what BIOS version you're on at this moment of time? As for the slots, can you reiterate them by the slots identified in your motherboard manual, PCB inscription, slots A2, B2, A1 and B1? Links to the ram kits would be of help to the community.

BIOS Build Date 5/28/2021
Version E7C84AMS.160

And I was incorrect, my old HyperX ram is 3200MHZ
