i have g.skill ripjaws x ram with an asus z97-a motherboard is the corsair cmxaf2 ram cooler compatible

RAM Coolers are totally superfluous for DDR-3..... RAM benefited somewhat from those tall toothy heat sinks .... but their only function under DDR3 is to 'look cool".
