For my PC build I bought a ASRock B150 GAMING K4/HYPER ATX LGA1151 Motherboard because it has a external clock generator so it can baseclock overclock my i3 6100, the only problem I had was that the motherboard said that it only supported 2133, but someone told me that it did not matter because the ram will automatically down the speed of the ram o fit the motherboard. Then I went on the Asrock website and looked at the compatible RAM units, but my specific Ram was not on it, neither did it have any ram of this speed on it.

This is the compatible RAM link
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20B150%20Gaming%20K4/?cat=Memory

And this is the ram that I will buy
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231975&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Is this ram compatible
thank you

From my understanding (feel free to correct me if I am wrong), when you use RAM that has a higher speed than your motherboard supports, it will just operarte at your motherboard's native speed. That being said, the motheboard you have has XMP profiling, if you enable this in your BIOS it should run at its intended speed.

Thank you for the solution, so if I plug these into my build they will automatically run 2133, right, And then if I turn on XMP on my bios it will run 3200, Because the only reason I got higher speed ram was because people said that if i didn't it would bottle neck the total Overclock of my i3.
Thanks :)
