Will this work with any other 4gb 1600mhz ram or is there anything that would prevent me from using this in conjunction with my current stick of ram? It is simply listed on dino-pc as "4GB DDR3 1600mhz (1x4gb)" I am not sure which brand it is as it was not me that bought the computer originally.

No way of telling without trying, even if you buy 2 single stick packages of the same exact model - there's still no guarantee they will play, always best to get the full amount you want/need in a single packages, that way they were tested to ensure they play nice.

Just checking are you suggesting that i buy 1 8gb stick or 2 4gb sticks still, only in the same package?
