I currently have an Asus h110m-r mobo which supports 2133mhz ram only. Wanted to know if I'm able to add 8gb more ram but with 3000mhz as it's cheaper and for future upgrades The ram I want to buy DIMM 8GB DDR4 3000MHz Kingston HyperX Fury Black CL15 HX430C15FB3/8
The ram I have Crucial 8GB 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL15 DIMM

I wouldn't mind if only runs at 2133Mhz.

Solution
It's actually 91-99 % chance.
But no one can guarantee for 100% sure.
So if u can return ram stick in case things go wrong, why not. I've done this many times with all times being able to give back sticks in case things go wrong.

But if u don't have return options?
Then it seems better to give some more money to guarantee ur things.

Most times what has been trouble for me was one of these:
-ram sticks ooonly for AMD, incompatible with Intel (I'll hold my commentaries)
-ram sticks with a little smaller size
-not properly set latency timings in bios, as it all has to be initially started with the highest values among the sticks

And yes, if they work together, it'll be in 2133 MHz.
