Will this RAM work with this motherboard?

I am looking around for new RAM and really like this:

which is obviously the 8GB version. i looked on the QVL for my motherboard (ASRock H77M) but could not find the 8GB version. i did however find this:

which is basically the same RAM but just has 4GB instead of 8GB. i found this RAM on the QVL list.

im wondering if this makes a difference or if i can run the 4GB version i can run the 8GB version without problems. will the 8GB version not run with my motherboard? btw my motherboard has a max of 16GB if that helps.

The 2 x 4GB ram would be the best and will work in most MB's that take DDR3 memory. What is your MB make & model?

Also, what OC are you running?

You will be able to run the different sized RAM dims, just make sure that you run them at the same speed or frequency. You can change this in the BIOS. They will probably come stock with the same speeds so it might not be a problem.
