I am currently looking for RAM to upgrade my brothers computer. I have found this RAM link: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231667&ignorebbr=1&source=region&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Memory+(Desktop+Memory)-_-N82E16820231667&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwODlBRDuARIsAMy_28XReJ4erY_IHlUaCtSmpzRK3bD3p8-hlOM_aLKIRxu_eSzsJZ-fIykaAsBdEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I am unsure with all the timings and latency things about RAM. I've never understood it. But, should it work with this Motherboard: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...=6361382&SID=tomshardware-2613579129825630231

SO please, any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Also, we just ordered an Intel I7-3770 to put in his system as an upgrade, if that will affect what RAM can be used.

Alrighty thank you! The board does say 2400(OC) does that mean I have to have an overclockable chip to run 2400?

No. just ignore the OC part.
Basically look only at the fact that it says it supports 2400mhz.

The OC is just a technicality thing, because even if RAM says it's rated for something like 2400MHz, it simply means it's rated for it, not that it runs at that speed out of the box.

by default, DDR3 RAM on any motherboard runs at 1333Mhz and anything above that is considered an overclock on the RAM.
