Will this router NETGEAR AC1000 (R6080) work with my cable modem?

The modem is uBee Ambit U10C018 DOCSIS 2.0 Cable Modem (https://www.amazon.com/formerly-Ambit-U10C018-DOCSIS-Cable/dp/B0088R1P06)
I have the cheapest Spectrum connection, download runs at about 3.5 Mbps and upload never more than 1.25 Mbps.

If you don't mind my also asking (because I do not know where exactly to ask) whether or not my internet upload speed of 1.2-1.3 Mbps, as measured by an online Speedtest, would be sufficient for my new wireless Amazon Cloud Cam Security Camera to forward data via cloud to my smartphone? That is the only reason I am setting up the home WiFi. The next higher tier connection from my ISP is $30/month more...

1.3 Mbps bandwidth will certainly work for that, but it will just take more time to transfer video data to your phone compared to a higher bandwidth.
