Will this run HD H.264 & Bluray?

Hello,

This is my system, which is quite old but still runnin strong lol.

ECS P4VXASD2+ Mobo

2.4Ghz Pentium 4 S478 CPU

Ti4200 graphics card

1GB DDR Ram

I am wondering will the 2.4Ghz be enough for blu ray playback and HD H.264 (apple HD content)? I will also be upgrading to the HD3450 AGP 4x/8x 256MB card from Asus soon. Thanks !

i dont think your machine can handle HD content so efficient. i have a P4, 2GB of RAM and a decent video card and i cant play Blu Rays. i can play some HD content but not something that will force my CPU or my video card. you will probably be able to watch H.264 but im not sure if anything higher than will be playable

I think anything from the 3k series Radeon and up can play blu-ray with a 1.8Ghz Sempron processor.... so, it's close.
