Hi fellow pc master race. So I finally collected enough money to buy a new gpu since gpu prices in my Country are crazy. The gpu i'll be buying is the Sapphire nitro RX 480 to upgrade my GTX 750Ti. Here is a link to the exact card and shop:http://www.eshopcy.com.cy/vga-sapphire-nitro-radeon-rx4....

So the problem is that there is a good chance of the gpu not fitting since the PC I have was not originally bought to be upgraded. It is the HP 3400. So I have changed the motherboard, the power supply, the back fan, the graphics card and added more ram to this PC. The case however I did not change yet.. My main concern is that the width of the RX 480 i'm getting will be too much for my case and the side panel might not even close. Could you please do some research on the HP 3400's case and see if it will fit? I'm not willing to buy a new case right now. Here is pretty much what i'm dealing with, this is not my pc btw but same case: https://www.google.com.cy/search?q=hp+pro+3400+case&biw=1920&bih=974&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi307zw9fHQAhVUeVAKHW2nDX4Q_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=hp+pro+3400+graphics+card&imgrc=hetRXTQJNJLVLM%3A

Note: This RX 480 has the 8 pin on the side of the card instead of the top.

750ti temps is not per-say a good measure of 480x temps.

The PSU's "fan" is sucking the hot gpu air as its "intake" source and then exhausting it out the back.
If you have no fresh intake on this case you are going to have issues.

In regars to cutting the case, if you can just cut right along the inside edges of that square that MIGHT be sufficient. Anything beyond that and I would question if structually you weakened it too much. Make sure to remove hard drive before you do. Vibration + Hard Drive is not a good combo.
What you are talking about in regards to width (we call it height dating back from when computers where sit horrizantal and not vertical) will be just fine. Your case supports full "height" PCI brackets so it will be fine in that regards.
Now depth (how gpu goes from back to front of your PC case) that may be your downfall. Hard to tell from picture but that akward hard drive cage could cause you fitment problems.

Length is definitely not a problem. The hard drive cage is also quite tall however about 5mm shorter than the case. What I thought of is to cut off the hard drive cage is some sort of way if it does not fit...But how lol.

Shall I take pictures of good angles for you and others to judge? What do you think?

I would not just cut the hard drive cage unless you can brace it very well to the side. the support is only comming from the top and bottom of the case, and if you cut it then it will not support it, and a spinning hard drive needs to be on a stable surface.

I would just plan on getting a new case, even if you can squeze the 480 into your case, that OEM case is not going to provide sufficient airflow.

I would be planning to cut only the middle part that forms that square. Airflow true will not be that good. However the psu I changed has it's fans aiming directly to the gpu. I switched the cpu heatsink to good cooler master one and I also changed the back fan. I control the fans with ai suite and with the 750Ti temps are actually fairly good tbh. If I cut off the square part of the hard drive cage I think i'll be fine, just don't really know how.
