Looking to upgrade CPU and want to utilize 400FSB speed.

I have DDR PC2700 RAM at a total of 768.
Windows XP Home
K7n2 Delta-Ilsr MOBO
gforce3 ti200 pro td-128(I know a little old but still screams)

Looking at this CPU:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ "Barton", 400 FSB, 512K Cache Processor - OEM
(limit 5 per customer)

Specification
Model: AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Core: Barton
Operating Frequency: 2.1GHz
FSB: 400MHz
Cache: L1/64K+64K; L2/512K
Voltage: 1.65V
Process: 0.13Micron
Socket: Socket A
Multimedia Instruction: MMX, SSE, 3DNOW!, 3DNOW!+
Packaging: OEM(Chip Only)

Model#: AXDA3000DKV4E

So, will this combo allow me to use the 400 FSB or should I be
looking at other things as well?

Thanks for the input.

The PC2700 is 333MHZ so if you want to run 400 MHZ you will
need PC3200..

Thought so.

Would I see much difference from 333 to 400 FSB realistically?

The biggest change would be the CPU I would think.(1800xp to a 2800xp)

I probably do not want to switch memory at this time.

Looks like I will go for a 333 FSB CPU.

Thanks for the input.

Get a *Mobile Barton 2500+*, all of the rest of the Bartons out there
now are locked to prevent overclocking.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-401&depa=1

ignore that it says 266 FSB at newegg, its a 333 FSB cpu.
These are great overclockers, I personally have an older Barton 2500+
that I have running at 12x183 = 2196 MHz, which is faster than an XP
3000+ and 4 MHz shy of the XP 3200+ speed.
If your memory is decent it should be able to handle the overclock of
the FSB ( even if you got the XP 3000+ you might be able to run your
memory at 200 MHz, ya never know), I've got 512 Mb Corsair XMS PC2700
running in dual channel.

Complete specs:
K7N2-L, BIOS 3.9, Drivers 3.13
Athlon XP 2500+ (183MHz x 12= 2.2 GHz)
Vantec Aeroflow HSF w/Arctic Alumina (CPU temp: idle 41c/load 45c)
2x256Mb Corsair XMS PC2700 (Dual Ch. 6 3 3 2.5)
Radeon 9600 Pro
SB Audigy Gamer
WD 80Gb HDD (8Mb Cache)
Lite-On 52X32X52 CD-RW
Toshiba 16x DVD
Antec True Power 430W PSU
Logitech MX500
