Hey people, i need some advice. im planning to build my first pc and i just want to make sure i dont make any stupid mistakes.
Honestly, i dont really have a clue when i comes to hardware components. I've done alot of research but all the different numbers and letters n stuff are just hurting my brain lol. Im on a pretty tight budget so i dont expect to be able to put together an amazing rig that can bust out games a ultra settings without breaking a sweat, but i would like a computer that isnt going to spazz out as soon as i try to play a game. My maximum budget is £600 but that is for everything, as iv been using a laptop for the past few years, which just died on me, so i dont have any desktop components.
Anyway here is the parts list im thinking about:

cpu: AMD (Piledriver) FX-6300 3.50GHz (4.10GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 6-Core Processor

motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AMD 970 ATX

graphics card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Dual-X Boost OC AMD Graphics Card 2GB

psu: EVGA 500W 80 Plus Power Supply

ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 1600MHz Single Module

hdd: 1TB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 3.5" SATA III Hard Drive

disk drive: LiteOn 24x Internal SATA DVD RW Drive

case: Arianet Storm-P27 Midi Tower Windowed Case - Black, USB 3.0

o.s: Windows 8.1 64Bit Operating System

monitor: Samsung SyncMaster S19D300NY (18.5 inch) TN LED Monitor

keyboard: ARIAnet Black USB Keyboard - Full Size

mouse: the only thing i have already lol

total order comes to £555 including delivery.
i do plan on getting an extra 4gb of ram in the near future but im hoping i can get away with just having 4 for now. (if im wrong please tell me)
I just want to make sure its all going to work together and is all compatible, that i haven't chosen any noticeably bad components or forgotten to include something crutial and that its all going to fit inside the case! haha. Oh n one more thing, im assuming all the parts come with the necessary wires/connectors to put this all together, right? or do i need to buy that stuff aswell?

Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated as, like i said, this is all new territory for me. Thanx

I'd recommend getting an r9 280.

Damn!... You guys dont mess around with your response times lol. Much appreciated!
Im just wondering how much difference i would see between the r9 270x and the r9 280?
if its going to be a big enough improvement then its obviously work the extra £££ but if its only marginal then i rele need to keep the price as low as i possibly can as im going to need to borrow some money in order to get this stuff so the less i have to beg, borrow n steal, the better lol

Granted, thats probably a better system badboyrog2 but once you add the cost of a monitor n stuff it will cost close to £700 which is out of my budget. i appreciate u putting the list together but cost is really a big factor in this, wish it wasnt, but it is.

Yeh you are probably right on that mate. Although, like i said iv been using a laptop for the past few years with, i think, about a 15" screen so even the 18" would be better than that. I will look into bigger monitors tho, may be able to pick up one second hand

You will see the a much better improvement over the the 270x with the 280. It's more recently built and is more efficient power wise. Overall it is just better than the 270x.
