4th Generation Intel Core i7-4810MQ processor (Quad Core, 6MB Cache, up 3.8GHz)
16GB DDR3L at 1600MHz (4x4G)
Dual NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 770M with 3GB GDDR5

I was looking at a laptop with these basic specs and already have a ps4. I was wondering if this laptop will be a sizable improvement gaming wise and if it will still be able to hand games in the next couple of years

Don't go for it unless you really need it.. you will end up wasting your hard earned $$$$....

If you really need it, go for a desktop but however, you have a PS4..

Also, about underclocking, you can do that to your Desktop as well.. :)

Yes it will.. You may not get FPS at ultimate settings (1920x1080)

You can check Alienware or Dell XPS.. they are great for gaming.. they will also let you personalize your pc/laptop..

Sorry I missed the 'm' bit.. thought it is 770 and not 770m..

A mobile CPU and mobile GPUs, why wouldn't that be a laptop. "I was looking at a laptop with these basic specs"

Looking at, not looking for.

I know I could save money and get a desktop with the same spec but and that laptop components tend to be slightly under clocked compared to their counterparts but I would prefer a laptop or is that a foolish choice I am just worried as the price of the laptop I have compared a lot and I don't want to spend it badly. what do you think?
