Hi guys, I'm trying to build a gaming pc and here is what I have so far (it's my first time) :

I realise I need a lot more components but am I heading in the right direction? Also if I can save any money without losing performance tell me please. I want to run games in high settings on my 1920x1080 monitor.

No it do not work.
You need intel lga 1150 cpu. 4670k

Change the CPU to an i5-4670K since 3rd Gen Core i (Ivy Bridge) are not compatible with 4th Gen (Haswell) motherboards.

Since he wants to save money, maybe he should keep the CPU and buy cheaper Mobo that supports 3rd gen. intel

1155 mobos are not cheaper. And lga 1150 mobos are better than older lga 1155 mobos.
