Hey guys, I want to get my parents a new computer as they have an old 2003 Dell and it barely functions.

Nothing fancy just hulu/Netflix, web browsing, and storing pictures and recipes.

I'm a little concerned that because I have never messed with an APU before. Specs below:

Rosewill - FBM-01 MicroATX Mini Tower Case

AMD - A4-6320 3.8GHz Dual-Core Processor

MSI - A68HM-E33 V2 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard

Patriot - Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Western Digital - RE3 250GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

EVGA - BR 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Solution
The Intel CPU may have a lower clock speed but it can process more data as it is capable of more instructions per clock. Clock speed is not a good way to compare CPUs with different architecture. The ddr4 2400 is just what is recommended to use with that CPU.

The newer CPUs use DDR4.

It only has 4gb of ram but that will be plenty for the tasks you listed and the SSD will make the system feel much faster than the HDD.
