Note: This is what I aim to have the final product be like. The PC itself is together with the 512 gb Sabrent SSD and just the fan's that came with the case. I plan to replace the fan's, add in some extra, and toss out the stock CPU cooler with the one listed.

My current Video card is an XFX RX 580 that I learned after some research and a confession from XFX themselves, that my RX 580 was a miners card they essentially pawned off on me (it was a replacement for a RX 480 by XFX that went bad after just a year of moderate use) . While it works fine for now, I don't really trust XFX anymore or their products and aim to replace it before it potentially gives out.

I plan on upgrading to the Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB STRIX Gaming OC Video Card, as its base and boost clock speeds look on point and in terms of power it uses less then the Sapphire's, allowing me to have some wiggle room and keep my current 500w Gold power supply. The case is supposed to be able to fit a card up to 320 mm and the card itself is 305 mm. The form factor of the mobo/case is MicroATX (shown in the PC part picker) but I just wanted to have someone look over my build before I plan on buying a card.

I don't plan on getting the card till mid January but i've already started investing funds into my savings for all the extra fan's, cooler, extra SSD, and the Video card itself. So i want to smooth out all the fine details that I can.

Solution
1)I have doubts your current psu is enough for an RX 5700XT. The official recommendation is 600w - and yes, while that is an exaggerated suggestion for liability reasons and it's entirely possible to get by with a lower wattage unit, your psu is still 100w below that.
That's pretty significant.

2)Your case is ill-suited for the combination of high power, large(over 2 PCI slots wide), and 2/3-fan model graphics cards. The Asus RX 5700 XT 8 GB STRIX Gaming OC(a 2.7 slot card) will thermal throttle in there.
The double and triple fan coolers do poorly in tight spaces. This is where blower cards excel. Unfortunately, AMD dropped the ball on the cooling for their reference 5700s, so that's not an option either.
I'd probably not go higher...

I'd probably not go higher than a 1660 Super(2/3-fan) or 2060 Super(blower)in that case.

Solution
Hmm thats a bit unfortunate, however I already have a double fan GPU (the aforementioned RX 580) and it regularly keeps keps below 75C with just the stock fan's in the case.

That being said i can consider the 2060 Super, though I was wanting to stay team Red while going up to 1440p.

Get a bigger power supply to be safe.

Also, I don't know that having a miners card is actually so bad if you get it for a good price and the fans work. A lot of miners would actually undervolt the cards to be more power efficient.

As long as the fans work well and it wasn't run hot, I don't know that there's a reason to expect it to fail.

I've had some bad luck with XFX cards in the past. While it doesn't necessarily show signs of imminent failure, neither did my 480. Just a sudden failure in the middle of a match of HoTS, reboot, and that's all she wrote. That being said I think I may just put forward a bit more cash and go for a 2070 Super.

A few of the ones I looked at averaged less watts needed while being a better card in general. Looking maybe at the stock NVIDIA one or the Asus model

That's because, compared to the Asus RX 5700 XT 8 GB STRIX Gaming OC, your RX 580:
-doesn't pull as much power. More power = more heat.
-is smaller, so the fans aren't quite as close to the side panel.

You still can, but a new case would be in order.

Would something akin to this be ok? Its still around the same Wattage, (404w) according to PCPartPicker and is actually smaller then my current RX 580.

I would need someone else to chime in, but I think that card would see load temps in the 80s.

Cheap and inefficient cooler designs would do it.
Have you seen XFX's THICC gpus and their crap thermal results?

I think I may just save myself some hassle, cash, and components and go 2060 Super. It should still do 1440p 60fps and I can finally see what Ray Tracing is all about.

Thank you all for the information. Looks like my build is gonna be a bit of both teams.
