Im trying to clean of stock thermal paste but my local chemist doesn't have any isopropyl alcohol.

You could.... Just be very careful not to spray it everywhere, spray it on the towel and use it that way. But you can't just go to a drugstore or market and get rubbing alcohol? Its extremely common.....

That stuff is substantially stronger and I'd try to avoid it since it's a solvent and overpriced.
Any drugstore should have isopropyl/rubbing alcohol.

Use a lint free cloth (micro fiber if you have one) and dry wipe it. You don't have to use any cleaner at all.

I think I have rubbing alcohol, ill just use that then.
