1. Would this all be compatible?
2. Should I get oem windows 7 or 8
3. Is there anywhere I can skimp?
4. Anything unnecessary(like ram speed)

I'm planning on making this computer for entry level gaming, which would be the best way to put it. I sort of want to invest a little bit into this system so I don't have to buy better parts later,but also don't need ultra detail at max resolution.

My intent when it comes down to it is just medium and playability over looks.

why are you only buying from frys?

everything is compatible but here are some parts I'd rather buy

get this instead of the fx 6100

The price was the same and I can get my parts locally from frys. You gotta be crazy if you think I'll deal with shipping during christmas, plsu the fees stacked onto them as well.

The power supply is skimping a lot.

The memory is pretty good though, can't beat new egg on that though.
