Will this work on my computer?

It will fit but i certainly wouldnt use it, its an old design with passive power factor correction, and low efficiency so its going to generate quite a bit of additional heat. A higher quality unit will last you much longer and be able to support stronger cards in the future, but will cost you a bit more but a PSU is an investment in a part you will be able to keep for 5 or more years.

Regardless of what the mobo supports, you'll have to check with Acer and see what CPUs the bios supports. They write the bios, and generally only include a few for that line they plan to offer to keep cost down and planned obsolescence.

I guess i did some searching, and my current mobo
Main Circuit Board-
Board: Acer EM61SM/EM61PM
Bus Clock: 201 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD R01-B1 12/29/2006

doesn't support AM2+ and AM3's. Now i'm really planning to get a amd mobo. Do you have any suggestion which will fit on my case because i'm totally unsure what kind of tower my case is. Thank you so much.
