I have a tv I bought with hdmi. I want to get better quality until I get a new one. I currently use vga. If I plugged this in and used it would it boost the quality?http://www.ebuyer.com/164640-xenta-gold-plated-hdmi-male-to-dvi-d-female-adapter-hdmim-dvif

Solution
Just right click your desktop and see what the resolution is running at, if you get a GTX 970 and run a HDMI cable to your TV, if your TV isn't HD then you wont be able to run at 1080p.
that connector can plug into any HDMI, what you put on the end of it will determine what the output is. If your graphics card has a DVI-D output all you need for 1080p is a DVI-D to VGA adapter, then just plug in your VGA to the TV and on your TV select "PC" as source

You wont get any boost, your video quality will stay at the lowest quality cable can handle.

If you doing alot of office work, this plug will be enough for your needs:

If you do play video games, you would need a plug like this:

well I put this in another forum. I am building a new pc. I am currently using the radeon hd 5450 card (IK it sucks) But when I put in hdmi to tv from it it looks blurry. IK many people say change source name to pc. I cant, I have a cheap tv. SO will I have the same problem which the 970?
