My interpretation was "N/A" meant it didn't need a BIOS update to support the chip.
"N/A" may well mean it's not supported.
I agree with your interpretation.
This is a list of supported processors; there is no reason to include non supported processors.
But, at the top of the list highlighted in red it says N/A = not support ;
the processor is not supported.
On the list as supported by F6 is the Phenom X4 9750 which is a 125w part.
Since he OP already has both, why not try it and see?
Truthfully, I can't see spending anything on such an old platform.
