Will two 290x's fit in a Maximus VII Formula?

Hello everyone,

I was going to purchase an AMD R9 290x Vapor-X Edition from Sapphire.
I heard that it takes up 2.5 slots due to the size of the cooler.
Will my Asus Board be able to handle two of these cards?
I may want to Crossfire in the future, and I wanted to know if the second card would fit.
The case I'm getting is the CM Storm Stryker from Cooler Master.

The M7F has 3 slot spacing between PCI-E x 8 slots .... it will also fit in the case which can fit cards up to 12.7". If so inclined, I'd look at the Enthoo Luxe tho before buying, less money, more features, more cooling, built in fan control and LED system, better rated..... not as flashy styling wise so will have to decide on form versus function.

That's the layout for two 780s or two 770s on the M6F .... you can see the PCI-E x 1 slot in between

Yes, I know, my friend and I built his PC and we used a Maximus VI Formula...
I was just making sure because my card is a little bit thicker than his.
