Will using a monitor on my cpu effect FPS by a lot or the same amount as plugging it into the gpu? I don't have have a display port cable yet for my new monitor, and my GTX 1070 only has 1 hdmi. So how much will effect gaming, and fps if this monitor was just for chrome tabs, spotify, streaming, and another screen for editing? Also am I even able to do this?

Solution
Check the BIOS section of your motherboard manual to see if you can enable the onboard graphics while a discrete graphics card is installed. Since the on-board graphics are part of the processor, using it's graphics will take up part of the CPU cycles. Whether or not it will have an effect on your gaming performance depends on if the processor is being utilized to it's fullest extent by the game.
