Will Vertically Mounting My Heat-sink fix RAM clearance issues?

Hello Community,

So I've been thinking out a PC build for a while. Just today I decided to change from a AMD processor to an Intel processor. So I switched up the motherboard....and the RAM.

Now the heatsink I am trying to use in the build is the Cryorig R1 UItimate

or

When I had the build setup for a AMD processor. I went with Hyperx Fury Ram that is 32mm in height which would fit with the heat sink after a little fan adjustment.

But now that I want Ripjaws [Keep in mind I am going with the red ones for my color theme], the height is significantly higher at around 42mm.

The specs for the R1 Ultimate say it supports from 30mm-35mm of RAM height with fan adjusting. But 42mm is out of that range! A couple days ago I saw a lot of articles about mounting your heat sink vertically so that the fans are facing the GPU instead of the rear which improves cooling because it rides a long with the natural movement of heat going up. Or something like that 😛

So I was wondering if by any chance I could mount it vertically since the fan will be out of the way [Which the fan is the crucial part going over the RAM placements I guess] and I would be free from clearance issues with these sticks

I am getting 2 for 32GB B)

Ofcourse the R1 Universal is the best alternative since the fan is thin and out of the way of RAM. But then it would be a bit louder and run a bit hotter. Overall I just really don't want the universal. But if there is no other way, then oh well.

Any and all help would be highly appreciated.

Here is my build: [Currently with R1 Universal Just In Case I Don't Get Any Help]
