will VGA card support in HDMI motherboard????

I'm building a pc with Gigabyte Gaming B8...It has no VGA but my GPU and monitor requires VGA ports......
in that case will converter work???
or,,,,
I can just plug and play with the VGA in my GPU???
I've HD Radeon 5450 2GB VRAM
