Will we see a price drop in the GTX 10 series, with the release of the GTX 20 series?

I'm looking to grab a GTX 1080 ti I'm trying to see the most optimal time to make a purchase

My other option is to wait and see how much worth the GTX 20 series would be.

After noticing these sales for GTX 1080's I'm having some trouble not pulling the trigger lol.

Any thougts would be appreciated. Thanks

oh.. lol ok. Another question, not sure if you know but, Would you think prices further drop with the initial release of the RTX series?

I don't know either way. I believe it depends on how the new RTX cards compare. But... even then, they are more expensive than GTX 10 series. So, the 10 series priced where they are now will still be able to compete with the prices of RTX. So, I speculate that no there will not be further price drops for some time.
