Question Will Windows 10/11 recognize a Switch controller (wired) via steam?

I really prefer the switch controller these days, however I don't know if it will work. Some say yes, others no. Thoughts? Oh and I'm wanting to use it on games like The Witcher 3, Arkham,etc.

Not sure about Win11 but I remember having read an article about Steam app on Win10, the Switch Pro works without problem.
