Will Windows 7 work on a Dell E520?

Hi all,
Anyone have any experience of Windows 7 on a Dell E520? Mine has 4gb ram and a Q6700 processor, so technically should be OK, but I read some stuff on the net about people stuggling with the bios

yes it will run on it without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!
im running 64 bit win 7 on it right now...i had no bios issues!!!!!!!!!
i also ran vista 64 bit before this!

No problems what-so-ever on the most recently available 520 BIOS.

It's all good, baby . . . Just go for it . . . And for the issue with playback sound . . . Do this . . . Install Vista’s Sigma Tel sound driver . . . Go to Control Panel and click on Sounds . . . On Playback tab, click on Speakers / Headphones to select it . . . Click Configure . . . Select Quadraphonic or 5.1 or 7.1 Surround . . . You’re done . . .
