Will Windows 8 drivers work with Windows 8.1?

Hi,
I have an old laptop that recently began to randomly shut down. I decided to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows, and I happen to have a spare copy of Windows 8.1, but the laptop manufacturer's website lists only drivers for Windows 8 (the laptop's an Aspire 5750Z, BTW). Will the drivers from that page also work with Windows 8.1 or do I have to manually get drivers from the OEM's website?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
yes, for the most part. I think the major exception was with some poorly written mouse drivers will have the polling rate dropped to 200 times a second.
Being Windows 8 drivers, they might not function on windows 8.1, but there's also a solid chance that they will work. You should try installing the Acer drivers first, it's always recommended to install the drivers you're given by the brand that made your factory-pc. Though if these drivers fail, you should find and replace those that doesn't work with the newest drivers from the component manufacturer.

Hope this helped! 😉
