Will windows 8 fast startup damage mother board?

windows 8 fast startup is relatively equivalent to hibernate.Some of my friends told that hibernating laptop manytimes may damage motherboard .if it is really true I will stop installing windows 8.
So, please tell me about this?

There are PLENTY of other good reasons not to install windows 8. for starters its a beta
