Will XFX ATI Radeon HD 5450 allow *independent* displays?

I want to know if XFX ATI Radeon HD 5450 will give me completely independent desktops over two displays? Note that I'm not interested in mirroring or desktop extension but want desktops that are independent of each other.

If not, can you suggest another (inexpensive) card that will? I'm not into gaming, this is for work only.

I have a Core2duo processor on Intel DG41WV motherboard with 2GB RAM. I'll probably add another 2 GB.

I believe you are asking if the Radeon HD 5450 can handle an extended desktop. Meaning you are going to use two monitors where your desktop extends over both monitors so that you can move a window from on screen to another, or to expand a window so that it stretches across both monitors.

If that is your question, then the answer is yes.

No, I'm not asking for desktop extension where one user controls items across two displays.

I'm asking for two-user system in which each has his own keyboard/mouse and access to icons, start menu, taskbar, notification items independent of the other.

This would allow both users to simultaneously use the same computer but independently.
