I just purchased an Athlon 1.4 266fsb. My motherboard is the original Asus A7V. Am I going to fry one of the two if I put this chip in or should they be compatable, just at the lower fsb speed?

Well if it doesnt work. Do the multiplier trick and run at 14x100

I doubt it'd work on A7V as it only has 12.5 multiplier

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

It may work but will probably POST at 1050mhz as the board does not support the 133/266 FSB, only the 100/200 FSB
