win 10 after win 7

it will keep everything as it currently is, and just upgrade windows 7 to windows 10, just download the upgrade tool from microsoft's site and it will do everything for you. Make sure you have a license for windows 10

You can do that with a Linux live disc.

What is on these other partitions?

A screencap of your current Disk Management window would help here.

I agree with USAFRet. Also, what is your final goal? You can format the drive during the installation of practically any Windows or Linux OS.
