Win 10 BIOS

I upgraded to Windows 10 and didn't think to update BIOS before doing so. HP only has a BIOS update for Windows 8/8.1 My question is would it be ok to update the BIOS with the Win 8 update even though I'm running Win 10?

If you don't have any issues , no need to update BIOS.

BIOS is not OS dependent, but I agree. Unless a BIOS update specifically states it resolves an issue that you are experiencing, do NOT attempt a BIOS update.
