Okay so first i think this is a problem with the Win 10 KB 4019472 update because 3 hours ago i just fixed the same problem on my GFs laptop ( let me explain ) : After windows auto updated ( that particular update ) and laptop restarted the screen flickering started , youtube was lagging at 240p on a 150MB/s internet furthermore the laptop would froze after 10-15min of use i tried to clean boot but that only WORSENED the situation it couldnt get past the loading screen and i got the following errors 0xc000000f ( A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed ) and 0xc0000225 ( Your PC/Device needs to be repaired The application or operating system could not be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors ) so after that i tried doing a clean install with my USB ( bootable drive ) and that just bricked the whole laptop and only removing the battery was that solved after that i somehow managed to enter the OS install settings and after i did that the partition for the drive was corrupted and i had to clean it via CMD fast forward 2hrs i did a clean install of the OS ( build 1073 ) ( THE SAVE FILES OS INSTALL DIDNT HELP AT ALL ) and the problems were gone ( except the usual ones like no video ,audio drivers etc ).

I just assumed this was due to her using a laptop with an iGPU ( Intel HD 5500 ) and the Win 10 Home version , but after that i needed to restart my PC for a game that i just installed and windows decided to update my PC with the same KB 4019472 update after my PC did an update ( THE SAME ONE ) i got the SAME FUC*ING PROBLEMS but this time it is worse i got this ( http://prntscr.com/f74hda ) and my audio doesnt work at all NOTE i did not enter BOOT mode or did anything the positive side is that i dont get random flickering or freezes ( maybe due to my SSD ?? ), now this is worse because i have some sensitive files here for my clients that i cant backup so does anybody have solutions for this ? Im afraid to safe boot because it might worsen the situation

ASK ANYTHING YOU THINK THAT MIGHT WORK ASK I WILL REPLY

PC SPECS : FX 8350 Stock , 16GB of RAM ,275GB SSD + 1TB of HDD , STRIX RX480

i do but i cant access windows update to rollback it and going into "Run" and typing ms-settings:windowsupdate to get in just does the same thing as going via the menu it instantly closes as soon as it opens

i dont have a backup on the external source 🙁 i thought you ment windwos backup

Andrej997,

I was dealing with those issues yesterday, indeed, KB4019472 broke several Win10 x64 Ent Edition. I have done a few steps and was able to bring a machine from the dead. Below are my steps. Disclamer, I broke my Win10 machine and was able to boot to it, I have not been able to break it again and it still has the patch installed. This is what I did:

I have tried to re-break my Win10 VM but I have been successful (upgrading my bubble-gum fix to duck-tape grade). I was able to dig and find that it broke after KB4019472, which it is my understanding is the major cumulative update or “service pack” grade patch from Microsoft for Windows 10. I was able to find the KB manifest of what’s modified and located that the two .SYS files I referenced yesterday where indeed affected by the patch (intelide.sys and PCIIDEX.sys). Below are the steps I took to identify and fix my issue:

1. At the repair screen went to the advanced options
2. Select Command prompt
3. Type bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No to disable the auto recovery console
4. Restarted and my machine came to a different blue screen referencing intelide.sys file
5. Used a USB flash drive and copied the referenced SYS file from a working machine from c:\windows\system32\drivers
6. Went to the broken machine and followed step 1 and 2
7. Ran diskpart and executed list volume to identify the OSDisk on the broken machine and the USB drive’s Letter (different on each machine)
8. Exit diskpart and from command ran copy <USB>:\intelide.sys <OSDISK>:\Windows\System32\Drivers (<USB> and <OSDISK> reference the letter found on step 7)
9. Once completed the copy, restarted
10. Then it failed again on another SYS file (PCIIDEX.sys)
11. This time, I copied all SYS files from the working machine into the USB flash drive
12. I repeated steps 6 and 7, on step 8 modified the copy command to copy <USB>:\*.sys <OSDISK>:\Windows\System32\Drivers (<USB> and <OSDISK> reference the letter found on step 7). This replaced all SYS files in the Drivers folder.
13. Restarted my computer, this time it went through the process of installing the updates
14. After 10 minutes, my Windows 10 machine landed at the Login screen.
15. It had a few Office updates, but since, I have not been able to break it.

Hope this helps, let me know if this helps you as well.

hey i fixed it but not using this method i will post a full update in the post bellow

UPDATE 1 : So there was a power outage here a few hours ago and when i turned the PC on the issue was resolved everything that i have mentioned has been fixed BUT Win 10 KB 4019472 update failed to update 2 times and now when i restarted the PC again it failed for a 3rd time and caused the same problems it literally forced me into safe boot mode ( which i have no access via msconfig since it just shuts it down ) i will try to resolve the issue with CMD

UPDATE 2 Soooo this **** was hard but i was able to do it , first i wanted to get out of forced safe boot mode but i couldnt do it via msconfig (constant exiting ) so i tried with the CMD , there was some small problems but nothing too serious after 20 min i exited safe mode and the Win 10 KB 4019472 update was still not installed so i deleted it locally and downloaded it via MS Site and boom it worked i was clear but then MS decided it was time for the creators update ( build 1073 ) and proceeded to download it , this time the update installed without problems and now the PC works normally
