Win 10 update changed drive order

I am not computerish at all, but I can follow directions.

HP desktop, I had a SATA drive, started running out of space, so our computer guy put in an SSD. Ran out of space again, so he switched drives altogether. Didn't like the set up at all, so my son put the old drives back in and we deleted tons of junk, everything worked fine for a while.

Windows 10 updated yesterday (against our will), and now it keeps booting from the SATA drive, not the SSD. I've gone into BIOS and the SSD drive is at the top, but it's not booting from it. Suggestions?
