Win 10 Update Reverted Back to HDD

I bought an Acer Aspire E 15 as a gift for my gf. It originally came with Win10 on an HDD. I purchased a SSD and used a third party product on Majorgeeks.com to move Win10 from the HDD to the SSD. It appeared to work fine until there was an update for Win10 on the laptop. Everything was wiped and it’s showing that the os is back on the HDD.

Any suggestions on how to keep the os on the SSD?

Honestly, just reinstall windows fresh on that SSD.
I know it is a major pain but it ensures you have as much performance as possible and as little problems as possible.
